About & Editorial Policy
How MetabolicFoods works, where our information comes from, and how we keep it accurate.
Who we are
MetabolicFoods.com is a food discovery and nutrition education site operated by 22ONLINE LTD. We publish articles, recipes, and product information for people who want to build everyday meals around their metabolic health goals — topics like protein, fiber, blood sugar, gut health, and eating well while using GLP-1 medications.
Our content is written and edited by the MetabolicFoods Editorial Team. We provide nutrition information for educational and food-discovery purposes. We don’t diagnose, treat, or replace advice from your doctor, dietitian, or care team.
How we create content
Every article follows the same process before it is published:
- Each factual claim about nutrition, health, or science is checked against a credible published source before publication.
- If a claim can’t be verified, we rewrite it as plain editorial framing or remove it — we don’t keep a sentence just because it sounds good.
- Nutrient figures, such as grams of protein or fiber, come from USDA FoodData Central or from the product’s own label, and we say which.
- We keep the difference between an association, a trial result, and our own interpretation clear, and we avoid treatment language like “cures,” “reverses,” or “clinically proven.”
- Every article lists the sources it relies on at the bottom of the page, so you can check them yourself.
We use AI-assisted tools to help draft and edit some content. Every piece is reviewed by our editorial team and goes through the fact-checking process above before it is published, and we remain responsible for everything on the site.
Sources we rely on
We prefer primary and official sources, roughly in this order: government and regulatory agencies (such as the FDA, USDA, and NIH), peer-reviewed systematic reviews and meta-analyses, randomized controlled trials, observational studies, and major academic medical institutions. We avoid relying on blogs, affiliate sites, influencer content, and AI-generated summaries as sources.
Corrections and updates
If you spot an error, an outdated figure, or a source that doesn’t support what we wrote, please email hello@metabolicfoods.com. We review every report, correct confirmed errors, and update the article. Each article shows the date it was published.
Independence
We don’t accept payment to feature products, brands, or recipes, and our articles don’t contain affiliate links. Product and brand pages reflect publicly available information, such as nutrition labels, and appearing on MetabolicFoods is not an endorsement.
Not medical advice
MetabolicFoods provides general nutrition information. It is not medical advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Always speak with a qualified healthcare provider about your individual nutrition and health needs, especially if you have a medical condition or take medication.
